this weekend my boyfriend and his friends are hosting their second annual SHUCKFEST (crawfish boil).
they go all out. it is a good, good time...
in spirit of the coming festivities, i purchased a gift for one of the hosts...a washboard tie! it's obnoxious AND clever.

last year i had the opportunity to visit NYC for the first time.
